Application: Collaborative robots for industrial platforms
Background: Fine pitch connections required to save space on PCBs, capable of low current data signals and polarized for easy assembly.
The Challenge: To meet space and cost criteria, with connections designed for manufacture – polarization and shrouding built in for fast, simple assembly.
Harwin Solution: 1mm pitch board-to-cable connectors, polarized and shrouded. Easy to mate, connects in only one direction.
Today’s high speed serial applications are driving increasing capacity and performance. To meet these demands designers are going to higher clock speeds and greater power densities. Both of the needs are supported by the ultra-low phase jitter OA-U series. The OA-U series may be specified at an any frequency from 100 MHz up to 175 MHz and is able to operate at temperatures up to +125°C. With typical phase jitter of 50 fs @ 156.25 MHz, the OA-U series is the ideal clock solution for high-speed serial applications such as network switching, optical communications and Storage Area Networks (SAN). The miniature 3.2 x 2.5 mm SMD package also enables more compact system designs and lower total cost.
Leveraging Taitien’s vertical integration production of quartz wafers and low phase noise oscillation circuit design technology, the newly launched OA-U series is available from 100 MHz to 175MHz with the phase jitter = 100fs rms, maximum. There are 3 logic outputs: LVPECL, LVDS and CML and the supply voltages are 2.5 V and 3.3 V. The frequency stability maybe specified as tight as ±25 ppm over -40°C to +85°C or ±50 ppm over -40°C to +125°C.
Background: The customer needs cost-effective vibration-proof connections, capable of long-term endurance with many hours in-service, maintaining reliability.
The Challenge: With long-term vibration and multiple years of service, a high-reliability connection was required with durable board fixings and easy assembly.
Harwin Solution: Datamate J-Tek connectors fitted with board mount studs for additional strength on the PCBs. Guide pins were chosen for the mating interface to facilitate simple and fast connection at assembly.
When surgeons operate, they need 100% reliability.
Failure is not an option!
That’s why engineers designing today’s surgical, medical monitoring and imaging equipment rely on IEH Hyperboloid Contacts.
IEH Contacts — High Current-Carrying Capacity. Smaller Space. Low Resistance.
All critical for a variety of medical applications. • Defibrillators • Ambulatory cardiac monitoring • Wireless tools for small bone surgery • Cardio-respiratory ventilation And more.

Application: External units for public parking bays.
Background: Rugged design required for long term environmental exposure such as heat, cold and humidity. Easy maintenance also a factor.
The Challenge: The customer needed a better solution for a long-term connection, one that would be more durable over time and with continual external temperature variations. Board-to-board spacing was also a factor.
Harwin Solution: Archer Kontrol delivered the right level of performance and quality, capable of long-term consistent durability and cost-effective specifications – and at the right mated height.
Background: The customer’s POS terminal design involved multiple wiring challenges internally, and individual smaller wires were hard to manage.
The Challenge: A lightweight solution to cable management was requested, that would keep the cables closer to the PCB and route them in an organized manner to assist with final equipment assembly.
Harwin Solution: Compact SMT mounted cable clips for individual equipment wires, giving them simple cable management clips that were assembled with the rest of the PCB, cutting costs with less operations.
Background: This equipment has many cables, and a long BOM requirement for connectors to various parts of the equipment. The customer wanted to stick with a consistent connection type for the different cable-to-board connections.
The Challenge: With multiple cable requirements with outdoor system exposure, the customer needed a rugged connector system with multiple size options and temperature/ humidity resilience.
Harwin Solution: Datamate J-Tek 2-row and 3-row connectors use the same cabling and connection system across a wide range of connector sizes – all capable of meeting the customer’s environmental concerns.

Application: Satellite TV from Geostationary Orbit.
Background: Customer manufactures enclosed server units for launch and operation in earth-orbit satellites. Two units are plugged together within the satellite body.
The Challenge: Panel-to-panel connection rugged enough to survive launch and orbiting conditions, yet easy to blind-mate on assembly.
Harwin Solution: Using Datamate J-Tek with a combination of female guide pins and male panel mount, both cable connections provide panel mounting with high-reliability performance.
