Aiming for the high-end consumer electronics market, the latest addition in the customer’s range was again a redesign on existing technologies – creating a more compact variation allowing for less electronics space.

The Challenge:
Multiple spring contacts required as contact points for different internal systems, all with minimal footprint and supplied ready for automated placement.

The customer manufactures replacement light aircraft engine units fitted with FADEC for upgrading existing small airplanes. The space allowed for the FADEC is very tight.

Background:
The inverter converts the DC battery power to AC for the car’s electric motor. The control boards in this unit require board-to-board connections, durable in nature, with good temperature range and commercial pricing.

The Challenge:
The customer required a dependable supply of durable industrial connectors, with competitive pricing and long-term reliability.

Archer Kontrol is rated up to 125°C, and is rated for vibration resistance. The durable industrial connector gives high performance at the right price level for automotive.

Embedded computing for defense systems.

Background:
Data gathering and computational analysis units for mobile defense units and vehicles, requiring faultless performance in challenging environments and under vibration.

The Challenge:
Internal board-to-cable connections must be as rugged and environmentally resistant as the rest of the unit construction, and the customer needed reliable connector pairs to ensure signal continuity.

High-Frequency and Tight-Stability Crystal Oscillators for Wi-Fi 6 Applications

With the implementation of 5G communications, the need for a higher speed Wi-Fi has become clear. This is why the adoption of Wi-Fi 6, also known as 802.11ax, is accelerating. Wi-Fi 6 brings all of the advantages of 5G, higher speeds, lower latency and increased device density, to more applications. In addition, today’s Wi-Fi Devices are becoming smaller and may be located indoors or outdoors. Due to the reduced sizes and uncontrolled environments many applications are finding that 95 or 105°C operating temperatures are common. To support these issues Wi-Fi 6 needs high stability frequency sources that are engineered to operate in these conditions to ensure data transmission efficiency.

Taitien provides a complete range of products which have been engineered to meet the higher frequency and higher stability challenges of Wi-Fi 6. Taitien’s OX-A and OY-A Types are capable of achieving tight frequency stability of ±10 ppm over -40 to 105°C for Wi-Fi 6’s lower frequencies such as 38.4 and 48MHz. Moreover, Taitien’s PY-U and PZ-U Types satisfy the frequency stability requirement of ±20 ppm over -40 to 105°C for higher frequencies such as 76.8 and 96MHz.
