The case study application involved a UAV platform operating up to 4,500 meters with temperature and humidity certification. The system required continuous 60A current from the battery to a high-current payload through a cable-to-board connection. The cable connector also required solder cups to support secure cable termination.

The solution uses a Kona 2-contact female cable connector mated to a male PCB connector, delivering the high-reliability connection and 60A current-carrying capacity required by the payload system.
The PCB connector is positioned on the battery side, allowing the battery to be disconnected and replaced more easily when required. This supports practical serviceability, faster battery access and dependable power delivery during mission-critical operations.
